Colon Hydrotherapy in Bend, Oregon
Colon hydrotherapy, also known as a colonic, is the gentle rinsing of the colon with filtered and temperature controlled water. Getting a colonic aides in the removal of old matter, mucus and gas, thus allowing important nutrients to be absorbed by your body more effectively. Colonics can also leave you feeling rejuvenated and hydrated. Colonics can also help to re-tone the colon.
Colon hydrotherapy involve the safe, gentle infusion of water into the colon via the rectum using a small comfortable nozzle. No chemicals, laxatives or drugs are involved and the entire session is both relaxing and effective. A healthy and well-functioning colon is helpful for the maintenance of a healthy lifestyle. A colon cleanse can also be a great jump start to a body detox cleanse.
This vital organ remains the most neglected in the human body.

Can colonics help with weight loss?
Yes – But that depends on you. Some clients notice improvements in their efforts to lose weight. But since so many other factors are involved in weight loss, it’s too complex to state such claims. We offer an infrared sauna and LifetimeVibe vibration plate to aid in achieving your weight loss goals.
How many hydrotherapy sessions do I need?
That depends on you. If you have never received a colonic before, a series of 3-6 colon hydrotherapy sessions may be helpful. This can be discussed with our hydrotherapist at the time of your first consultation.
Do colonics get rid of good bacteria?
If your bowel is toxic (through poor diet, stress and other lifestyle factors) you have little or no good intestinal bacteria to begin with.
Good bacteria can only breed in a clean environment. Colon Hygiene sessions clean out older waste material and “bad” bacteria making it a better environment for good intestinal bacteria to thrive.
A probiotic supplement can be taken after a colonic to help aide in this balance.
Can I have a colonic if I am menstruating?
Yes. Your body is already in cleaning mode during that time. Your menstrual flow will not interfere with the success of the treatment. Flushing the colon will also reduce abdominal pressure associated with menstrual cycles.
Are colonics painful?
When done correctly by a trained colon hydrotherapist, a colonic should never be painful. Some clients can feel a little discomfort or unfamiliar feelings when the muscles of the colon contract – this just feels like cramping or gas with pressure in the rectum, and is completely normal. These feelings usually precede a big release of accumulated waste, and clients quickly feel much better once this waste is eliminated.
Is the session embarrassing?
No. There is no mess and no odor! Your dignity and privacy are always maintained with proper draping in a private room. Our newly renovated spa in downtown Bend was designed for your privacy and comfort.
How long does a session last?
A colon hydrotherapy session can last between 40-45 minutes. Some people choose to combine their colonics with a 20 minute infrared sauna therapy session.
“I approached High Desert Hydrotherapy because I was struggling with extreme bloating. Cami suggested that it may be due to constipation. I was hesitant at first, wondering if a colonic would be painful or awkward, but decided to give it a shot. I was pleasantly surprised that it was neither of my concerns. Cami can be summed up in one sentence – She is the best! She really took an interest in my well-being and wouldn’t give up on me. Cami became my friend through my journey. She is full of knowledge and taught me various ways to stimulate bowl evacuation. She makes you feel very comfortable. She really cares about her client’s health and experience. I would recommend her for a colonic a million times over.” ~ B. Bend, Oregon
THIS IS YOUR TIME TO RELAX!
The average American’s body no longer has it’s ability to cleanse itself, by itself.
The elimination tract is approximately 30 feet long. Knowing what goes on in the last 5 1/2 feet of it can be helpful in maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
